Subject: Jill in Middle Eastern Veil
About the Image:This is the second in a triptych about the masks
that women wear. I have been trying to capture this subject in my
paintings for 30 years. Although in the West we find the wearing of the
veil disturbing, women in our culture where our own version in our
cosmetic make-up.
