Subject: Vietnam Memorial Painting
About the Image: This painting was originally intended to be part of several pieces about the Vietnam War Memorial. As the years pass, I find that the image makes me sad–as the woman’s hand reminds me of my mother’s. Thus, for me, there is a double sense of loss about this painting.
